Monitoring

The USFS AirFire Team, under a grant from the Joint Fire Science Program has placed 7 E-BAMS air quality monitors in Northern California to supplement monitoring efforts by the California Air Resources board, the USFS Region 5, ans local air quality districts. Each E-BAMS measures fine scale particulate matter (PM2.5) from all sources using a beta-attenuation method.
